Emma was my beautiful perfect baby sister. I was 15 when she was born and loved being a big proud
sister showing her off to friends and family. Emma was born with down syndrome and her heart was
very very poorly and weak. When Emma was 5 months she got took into hospital to have the holes in
her heart fixed. The day before she went i sat with her all day playing with her singing to her and
tellin her all the plans i had for when she was older. I gave her my favourite teddy to take into
hospital with her on the condition she gave it back when she came home. Emma had her operation and
all seemed well she fought so hard to stay with us but in the end her little body had taken as much
as it could and she passed away. The day my parents told ripped my world apart i was never going to
smell her beautiful babay smell again or feel her baby soft skin. We were never gonna argue cos she
had been in my room touching my things. I went to see Emma in the chapel of rest sat at her feet was
my teddy i gave her when she went into hospital i left it for Emma so she always has something of
mine. I went on to have 3 children of my own my oldest daughter is named after her beautiful aunty
Charley Emma. I still think about my sister every day and always think about what ifs but i know my
sister fought so hard to stay with us but she just grew tired. Rest in peace my beautiful angel
sister i hope i made you proud. xxxxxxx
